Privacy Policy
Last updated 2 September 2026
This policy explains what personal data Sportcert collects when you create an account, enroll in a certification or verify a credential, how that data is used, and the choices available to you.
1. Information we collect
Account information you provide directly: your name, email address, country and the name you want printed on your certificates.
Learning activity generated as you use the platform: lessons completed, quiz and examination attempts, scores and time spent on assessments.
Payment information handled by our payment processor. Card details are never stored on Sportcert servers.
2. How we use your information
To deliver the certifications you enroll in, track your progress, score your assessments and issue your credentials.
To operate the public verification page, which displays the credential holder's name, certification, level, certificate ID and issue date.
To send transactional messages about your enrollment, payments and results. Marketing email is opt-in and separate.
3. Public verification and your name
Certificates are designed to be checkable by third parties. When someone enters a valid certificate ID, the verification page shows the details listed above. Consider this before choosing the name printed on your certificate.
No email address, payment record or learning activity is exposed through verification.
4. Data retention
Account and learning records are retained while your account is active. Issued certificates and their verification records are retained after account deletion so that credentials already relied upon by employers remain checkable.
5. Your rights
You may access, correct or export your personal data, and request deletion of your account, by contacting us. Rights vary by jurisdiction and some may not apply to you.
Deleting your account removes your access to course content. It does not invalidate certificates already issued.
6. Cookies and analytics
We use cookies necessary to keep you logged in and to remember your preferences, and analytics to understand how the platform is used.
7. Contact
Questions about this policy can be sent to the address listed on our contact page.
